The Time has Come

It's hard to believe time has gone so fast. If all goes as planned, yesterday was my last day to put on my uniform, lace up my boots, and head to work. Other than moving out of my cubicle and turning in my IT equipment, the work day was not all that different than any other - except for the fact that I finally completed my to do list! I guess the effect was softened by the fact that I'll still be working with many of the same people, just in a different role as a support contractor.

I'm a bit nervous as this is a new adventure for me since the Army is all I've known my entire life. The best part of the day was the evening and sunset. A good friend of ours is a photographer and she came on post with us and patiently took photos of our family at different locations around post. There are many more besides the one above and you can see them at http://agreenfieldphotography.blogspot.com/2009/04/happy-retirement-bill.html

I am so thankful to her for capturing this important milestone in our lives. Now I have to figure out what I'm wearing on my first day of work ;-)
